William Academy Vikings - Men’s Hockey

Our new U18 hockey program in offers student-athletes a high-performance development experience within a structured academic environment. As a Hockey Canada–accredited program, we combine elite coaching, skill development, and character building to support athletes in reaching their full potential.

Open to students in Grades 9–12, this program is designed to prepare players for the next level, including junior hockey, NCAA, U SPORTS, and beyond.

We’re excited to welcome Coach MacDonald to William Academy as we launch our U18 hockey program. With a 14-year professional playing career, he brings a wealth of experience, leadership, and passion for player development.

MacDonald built his career as a dynamic forward, competing across multiple professional leagues including the SPHL, FHL, and ECHL. His accomplishments include winning a President’s Cup Championship with the Pensacola Ice Flyers and recording standout seasons, including a 100+ point year and ranking among the all-time leaders with the Columbus River Dragons.

Beyond his playing career, he brings years of experience in training, coaching, and player development. His focus is on helping student-athletes grow both on and off the ice while preparing for the next level.

Sample Daily Schedule

- Morning practice from 6:30am to 7:30am
- Breakfast in our Cafeteria from 7:50am to 8:30am

- First period class from 8:40am to 11:50am
- Students will have a 10 minute break for each period
- Lunch in our Cafeteria from 11:50am to 12:30pm
  Our sample lunch menu can be found under the Student Life section
- Afternoon Class from 12:40pm to 3:50pm
- Students will receive a 10 minute break for each period
- After-school practice from 4:00pm to 5:30pm
- Dinner in our Cafeteria from 5:30pm to 6:30pm
  Our sample dinner menu can be found under the Student Life section
- Study Hall session from 7:00pm to 8:00pm Monday to Thursday
- Students have free time in the evening for homework preparation and strength/conditioning/recovery in our fitness room.
